RONALD CERRITOS BIOGRAPHY

For Ronald, it’s been about the real passion for soccer, the commitment and hard work required to become a great soccer player/coach – and the belief that athletic achievement doesn’t happen overnight. He attributes his success to his dedication and discipline, and the coaches who believed in him since the very beginning of his professional carrier. 

Ronald Cerritos is the all-time leader in assist of the San Jose Earthquakes with 47.  He was first signed on March 21, 1997 He was named MLS Best XI the first season in San Jose Earthquakes.

He is the second top goal scorer for San Jose Earthquakes with 61 goals. Cerritos also played Dallas Burn, DC United, Houston Dynamo, and Alianza Fc.  He also had over 60 appearances with El Salvador national team, Scoring 8 goals and playing in important tournaments such as the world cup qualifiers and Gold Cup.

The successful years he had at San Jose Earthquakes made him receive a Hall of Fame award on September 29, 2010. He has 18 years of coaching experience with youth soccer players, playing the most competitive tournaments and leagues in the area. 

Coach Cerritos has a National "A" Coaching License, and now is the Director of Cerritos Soccer Academy.
